Therapy to deal with the feelings and learn coping skills, and exposure therapy (actually practice driving)

Be ever vigilant and follow road safety laws. Don’t let other people’s road rage get to you. Stay calm, check your mirrors and surroundings, and do something to help you relax, whether it be listening to music or stretching a little when you’re parked.

Figure out what part of driving makes you spiral. If you tell me all of it, you’re worried about being worried and not about the actual driving. If you can identify something, practice that thing in the safest and most controlled atmosphere you can produce. I learned in an office park on Sunday mornings. Lots of rows and islands to loop, as you venture further out stop signs, and speed limits, and beyond that traffic lights and other cars if you’re ready, work your way up over time.

honestly just practice is what helped me the most driving around neighborhoods, parking lots, and empty country roads are all good practice places

Great advice!! That’s how I first learned to drive— empty lots with signs and poles to navigate and practice looking for.
