the difference is most people have parents and a shit ton of people live with their parents. most people are not nasa engineers. so glad someone could find irony in my parents being dead

there’s no joy in not having parents. but there is joy in having supportive parents 😊 even though it’s undoubtedly difficult to feel like you’re behind your peers it’s important to focus on the amazing things you do have going for you. nothing amazing to focus on about having dead parents. sorry, that comment just really rubbed me the wrong way. i hope your parents help you get to a point in your life where you feel successful in your career, op. it is hard not to compare in the meantime
