That’s not true. Every time I’ve had a therapist talk about isolating behavior in it’s always been about me hiding at home, not talking to anyone, and feeling too scared to leave. You don’t have to run into the woods to be isolating yourself
And I know what post this was in response to. The same person left a very similar comment to the one I quoted under a post which was the OP talking about experiencing isolation

and like, someone could live off in the woods with little possessions and still be close with their community and throw sick ass dinner parties with food they grew

Isolating = you are actively avoiding social interaction or not seeking it out ever
Social interaction is important it will help keep you sane.

Basically telling the person that they’re not actually experiencing isolation because they’re not in the woods with no possessions.
