hi, i'm autistic and i've been on the border of a meltdown for hours. i can't calm down, and it's so bad i ashamedly tried to force it, but it won't go. does anyone have any tips? i don't have time to slow down today as i'm moving out, but this is bad...

If it’s an intense anxiety feeling, there’s a study out there with strong evidence that running can stop panic attacks immediately. I think it ties to our leftover survival instincts, so you trick your brain into thinking you’ve outrun the threat. Maybe it could work for you?

stimming is a lot of help, but i can't get myself to do it without forcing it, and i'm so exhausted i can't. i apologize for the freaked out nature of this ask, but i'm feeling very "life or death" at the moment :,]
