got diagnosed with autism a few months back and my family loves making jokes about it until I actually do something autistic. then they’re mad at me for needing extra clarification or not reading their tone correctly. truly can’t win out here

I struggled with this a lot and so do a lot of people with autism unfortunately. It’s normal for them because it’s easier than truly trying to understand. Autism can be a very isolating experience. Just remember to try to set boundaries and take care of yourself :)
