I like leftovers if I liked the food but if the food was already iffy I’m def not going back for more. And also I have a pretty sort timespan of how long it can sit before I just can’t eat it

I once read that restaurants give you 2X portion sizes and the internet never lies so now when I go out, I usually eat 1/2 my meal and save the rest for later. I used to not like leftovers but now I can tolerate them and sometimes the food tastes better after it’s had time to marinate all together or whatever.

I love leftovers. Less cooking and dishes. Just have to eat before it hits its contamination period. And of course properly seal it and all that.

^meal prepping is basically just intentional leftovers and vice versa when I make smth big enough to have leftovers with the intention of eating it throughout the week

I love meal prepping but I hate all the dishwashing after. But it saves so much time and money overall. Cannot recommend enough.

Meal planning > meal prepping imo. Just knowing what you want to make with what you have on what day, tailored to what energy level you know you’ll have according to your schedule with some emergency backups. Some prep work already done on a less busy day. Ingredients and leftovers used for multiple different meals.

As in both autism and ocd

I’m also the type of neurotic that bawls over food waste. Idk why but I’m real sensitive to that. One time I knocked my lunch over by accident and cried because it was such a tragic waste of food and my mom’s time and effort :(
