Quick question for y’all: I had a meeting with one of my campus’ higher-ups, to thank her for listening to my input on bringing sensory inclusion to our athletic venues. Long story short, she pointed out that I’m “ making eye contact now.”⬇️
That’s kind of ableist, no? I mean don’t get me wrong, we wouldn’t be in the position we are now without her listening to me, but idk, I feel conflicted after she said that

Just because you can make eye contact doesn’t mean you or others always can. Also eye contact can be a form or respect not a necessity.
