It’s frustrating how poor my emotional regulation is. I’m sitting here wanting to cry because I forgot my nametag for work. It is literally not the end of the world but it feels really bad. Does anyone else have tips for how to manage stuff like this?

This is not advice, just what worked for me—medication, specifically antidepressants, really helped me. Like you said your brain knows it's no biggie but your nervous system doesn't, and that's where medication or other more physical coping skills can help

Fully accepting the pain and remembering to do it all the time…it’s still exhausting but it gets easier, and at least now I can function better around constant frustrations/the compounded benefit of having less energy being sucked away

Same as #2 I’d say. Meds helped me get to a better baseline state. Sometimes on bad days I still have trouble regulating but now most of the time I have less of an extreme reaction to small stuff like that

I’m very medicated but my emotion brain and my logic brain fight a lot 😭 should I be on different meds?
