I always end up tearing up at really moving or powerful or awe inspiring moments in videos or movies. Recently saw a reel of the Smash Bros Joker reveal from a while ago and teared up seeing everyone cheer even tho I don’t actually care about the game 😭

Is this like an empathy thing? Kpop demon hunters had me crying during multiple parts from the awe of everything that happens. An incredibly well shot video of a rollercoaster had me feeling like this too

You need meds or different med. if it isn’t affecting you personally, you shouldn’t have emotions about it. Yes, it’s sad people die, but I don’t know them. No additional thought required.

This is a miserable way to live ngl. Individualism just leads to loneliness. If everyone only cared about themselves, it leads to sheep who will let themselves get walked all over until the bad things happening to others happen to them

It’s not about whether or not I have “additional thought” about something either. It’s the power of a moment that leads me to feel overwhelmed by emotion, both good or bad, that makes me tear up. Obviously it’s not exactly normal, but I don’t see any harm in finding emotional things emotional whether they affect me personally or not
