For me it just happened because it felt like the only option. Now that I’m doing better I have ideation of getting some ice cream or petting my cat to calm down. Xanax is also a good tool.

Same, probably happens for the same reason I ‘rage quit’ video games (pause, sit in silence for a minute, then close the game)
