There’s nothing wrong with telling people you have autism initially. But if you constantly harp on it, people will view you as self-indulged.

I’m not saying “never speak of it” but at a certain point, neurotypicals view it as an excuse for your behavior/a means to victimize yourself.

Good thing I’m not friends with shitty people like that. This seems like a you thing. Bc I’ve had neurotypical friends and family that have never viewed me talking about my autism in that way. That is YOUR interpretation.
