Guys or anyone else who has experience with this please help. How do you figure out social cues in relationships with neurotypical women? Specifically the cues that you’re supposed to just magically know and adhere to as the ‘man of the relationship’

My girl is incredible but she keeps saying things like ‘I need space’ and then gets upset when I give her space because I was supposed to know to take charge as a man and say ‘no I’m not leaving you’. Or she becomes frustrated that I ask for her opinions on things instead of making a decision for us both. Is there a trick to knowing when I’m supposed to do this kind of stuff and how to know what’s expected of me?

That’s the funny thing. You don’t. You think neurotypical men have it any easier? They have a SLIGHT advantage if any

Just remember that, at the end of the day, there’s only so much you can do. Relationships require a lot of effort and maintenance, but if it’s only work, well, might be a good idea to reassess things if you get what I’m saying. If she’s not the right fit, you’ll find someone better

It sounds more like she’s being immature and not communicating. But don’t take my word for it because I’m also a neurodivergent man. I will never get why neurotypical people say the opposite of what they want or expect shit without directly saying it. She shouldn’t do that stuff and then complain because to me what would be her own fault
