real question, how can i tell if getting evaluated is even something worth looking into?? like i’d love to talk to somebody without getting the “kids these days and their tiktok making them think they have a problem”

if abnormal things are impacting your daily life in a bothersome way, it never hurts to get evaluated! i've found the best way to not get this (bad doctors are bad doctors, sometimes you do just have to find someone who takes you seriously) is by leading strictly by your most prominent symptoms (less than 5 or else it gets "too crazy" for them sometimes) and how they are impacting you. do not indicate what you think you could have. doctors favoriteeeee thing is figuring it out "alone" :)

As someone with an ASD diagnosis, I think that knowing neurodivergence is impacting your well being is all the more reason to have an evaluation. They wouldn’t just diagnose you and leave you to figure it out, they’ll tell you exactly where you’re struggling and what changes you can make to your life to best support your needs.

Everyone has sumn wrong with them honestly whether it’s depression or anxiety or autism or adhd, I think it’s more rare to not have a little something

So I’ve always felt like I have poor social skills, or idk, I just feel like I’m not good in social settings I just don’t fit in, and idk if maybe I am slightly on the spectrum and that’s why, or if because I was an only child so I didn’t have much socialization growing up, and I just don’t know if there is a deeper rooted explanation
