Morning jog 1) improves my focus and executive functioning slightly, so I do it 2) won’t cure me so give me my damn Adderall script

It really does actually, starting to run was what initially got me off my self harm addiction and has gotten me off with every relapse

unironically something that helped me was pokemon go’s “routes” feature. got me to go on regular walks around a pond and it really did help

This a lie btw unless you’re just mildly stressed it’ll help. The gym does nothing if your life is outta control

Now if only exercise didn’t flare up my chronic pain, I’d love to do more than just walking short distances and my pt exercises 😭

This is one of the reasons I love having a dog, I have no choice but to walk every morning with her, cause otherwise I get barked at nonstop 😂

Why do you hate exercise? Look inwards

Even when your life is out of control it still kind of helps, at least temporarily. When I was at one of my really low points, I’d wander around campus at night when I couldn’t sleep. It didn’t fix me or heal my depression in any way, but it did keep me from making really extreme (and dangerous) choices.

Literally going for a walk makes my back hurt after 2 minutes because of my chronic back problems so I understand 😭🥀

Tolerating discomfort can be the point, it’s like a form of meditation. I recommend trying the app Just Run
