Am I weird or do I find spinning motions and other bilateral motions to be oddly relaxing and more effective than the other techniques recommended by therapists and psychologists?

And I’m planning on getting one of those sensory swivel chairs for my room since breathing and meditation does nothing for me

Are u by any chance autistic? A lot of my stimming and self soothing are motions like that. Not saying you are autistic, just that those type of movements tend to be soothing.

Same here. Swing those emotions is a release for me. All stress out

Not meant to be snarky or rude just something I’ve actually tried and found ineffective, as swings and other motions are more effective at preventing meltdowns and emotional distress

Yeah and I legit slept on the floor the other half of last night because being in bed was too uncomfortable for me

Breathing exercises and meditation just stress me out and make me too anxious
