Is it bad to not disclose my autism diagnosis to my study abroad program even though they explicitly ask about neurodiversity and psychiatric conditions? I’m scared they’ll discriminate against me for it

if you expect accommodations or take meds then you should probably disclose it. medication legality can be very tricky abroad so they need to know that stuff.

You can tell them later on if it becomes relevant, it’s not bad and your health information is your own to disclose (or not disclose) at your own discretion

I would disclose it honestly. Better for them to have the info than not

for example, there are some medications in the USA that are prescribed often, that are completely illegal and will get you arrested if you step foot in another country with them. ADHD meds and Japan come to mind. So I’d be careful on that.

I was planning on just disclosing the adhd and not the autism. My medication is controlled but legal in the county I’m going to
