Neurodivergent on Yik Yak | I hate how some people with autism will still be ableist to higher support needs autistic people. Really pisses me off, and is one of the reasons why I don’t trust people in Greek life. Oh and a lot of psych, education, and SLHS majors are like that too.

I have a bunch of internalized ableism that comes down to “I had to do this, so why can’t you?” There’s also a weird mix of envy because I view autistic ppl with higher support needs as having more accessible resources for help than me (I never got any support growing up cause I’m ‘higher functioning with good grades’. My support needs are less identifiable and bitterness grew from it) & discomfort because I project the way neurotypical people view ME onto others. Yes I’m working on getting help

It’s crazy how people use friendly fire
