I don’t think I’ve ever judged anyone for getting this at restaurants 😭😭😭 if anything they inspired me to also get chicken tenders and fries

i don’t get judging ppl for what they order at a restaurant. it’s on the menu for a reason! i personally don’t order that at a restaurant, but i wouldn’t judge if someone i’m with does. it’s their business

My coworker asked me what my favorite cut of steak was and I said “hmm burger”. Why tf am I gonna pay triple for something I like less? Bcos it’s more “adult”? Lmfao

It’s kind of interesting that this is considered the “default” food in the US. Nothing wrong with it, but the reason so many autistic people have this as a safe food is because it’s predictable and they got used to it as kids, so it feels safe. For me, that’s not the case. I had an ultra health nut mom, and the only thing she could guarantee that I would eat was quinoa and chickpeas. She’d cook quinoa and canned chickpeas in chicken broth until the quinoa was done, add some garlic and lemon

I mean where else do you get chicken tenders and fries?

No. This is where I draw the line.

And in Korean culture the “safe food” is stuff like kimchi + rice, or, as seen in pop culture, kimbap.

But for me basically quinoa and chickpeas is very predictable. I know that the chickpea texture will always be the same, not weirdly squishy or crunchy or anything, and same for chickpeas.

Weirdly it’s the only food combo I never felt the need to separate on the plate. Everything else needs to be separate, but these two belong together

That’s how I am for Mac and cheese and baked beans. Only food I can put together/not separate

Grahhhhh I hate when people order a safe comfort food they enjoy and have known since they were kids grahhhhh (as somebody who hasn’t personally ordered them in years)

Supporting people only when it’s convenient and fits a tidy narrative isn’t advocacy - it’s self serving theater. And yeah, you sound like an asshole.

I don’t support you. I don’t even fucking know you. But stay eating like a toddler, dipshit. Maybe you’ll work your way up so solid food by the time you hit 50.

Because I can. You aren’t entitled to universal support simply because you exist.
