Honestly, when my grandpa was our age he was working all day everyday, so yes we do have a right to be tired, although they probably see it as less than what they used to work, but ours is still a lot.

girl the other day i told my mom i didn’t wanna make dinner because i was tired and she goes “why 🤨” and i’m like i built you firewood storage over the past week and spent two hours today moving logs in it, plus i did a workout?? and then she went “oh okay, you can be tired” like thanks for the permission i guess

I had a lovely 4 month stretch of working overnight 12s 3-4x week plus going to school for 3-5 hours a day leaving me with enough time to sleep about 3 hours for every 24, often only sleeping 2 hours in 48 and I STILL can’t sleep for sh!t 3 months later. On top of chronic illness. It genuinely makes me consider going to jail when sum1 tells me that

Like i worked an opening shift yesterday off of only a couple hours of sleep. I got off at 6pm and had to pick up a closing shift last night so i went back in at 10 and we close at 1. I was scheduled open again today and i only got a couple hours of sleep again cause i couldnt sleep. So i mentioned being tired and one of my coworkers was like “youre young you cant be that tired youre fine”

But like he didnt even know what i was tired from cause he didnt know about that work i did. He literally had no reason to say i wasnt tired. Instead of being normal and asking why im tired he just said i couldnt possibly be tired
