it took me a few tries to find one i really clicked with. she got back to me within two days i think. anyone who makes you wait more than a few days to a week is probably not a great match

I was a senior in HS. But I will say therapist can’t do psych evals and even some psychiatrists need to refer patients out for evals depending on what they suspect. So if you don’t have a psychiatrist, you should also look for one of those. They can put in the referrals and get you evals sooner, but there can be long waitlists. Good luck tho! I’ve heard Zencare is good for finding a therapist

Depends on how you go about finding one. I’ve been able to schedule within a couple weeks of first reaching out to one, others have months long waitlists. If you are searching for something in particular (since you mention psych eval) then you need to make sure you find someone with the ability to meet those needs. Therapists can do diagnostic assessments, but that’s for things like anxiety, depression, etc. If you want it for autism or a personality disorder etc. then you’ll have more trouble

Also depending on your need, a quicker route might be seeing your primary care doctor and getting a referral for a psychiatrist. Tends to go quicker with a referral. With a therapist it’s better to do your own search to make sure it’s someone you’re comfortable with and feel you can connect with, since you’d see them more regularly
