my least favorite is the weird obligation performative thing of commenting on posts like i just can’t force myself to comment if i have nothing to say and idk why a like isn’t good enough- and the worst is it’s not between super close friends so it feels fake to me

This is the real answer. Everyone uses social media differently. Ultimately, the analysis of others’ behavior in this instance will just bring you unneeded stress. Social media is just a small bubble in the world among much more important things.
