It’s also crazy because being hit by a car as a pedestrian was a 5 and I regularly hit 7s and 8s from period pain, but 9 and 10 have thus far only applied to psychological pain

I’m at a 9 for a week every month :) going to the gyno for the first time tomorrow to finally get answers. (13 years past when I should have - when symptoms started originally).

lol this reminds me of when i went to er for a kidney infection can was lowkey guessing when they asked me to rate it 😭 i went from a 4 to a 7 (threw up from pain the entire time)

thank you for this!!! i also have chronic pain, and i've been seeing a lot of doctors for it lately. i always seem to struggle when it comes to the pain scale, but this is super helpful!

My psychiatrist gets frustrated with me because I’m not rlly open to decreasing my meds rn even though they’re giving me hypertension, I guess maybe I should try explaining it as “a meltdown hurts twice as bad as being hit by a car”
