One of the MANY problems with government in general. Any time you give the government more control or power over something there is always a hidden trade off. And with government there is less accountability because the government gets funded no matter how bad it gets or how bad the quality of services gets. And there is no competition, so it also acts as a monopoly.

Nope nope, fraud waste and abuse is such a huge problem we need to award 40% of the budget in contracts to my friends who are entirely unqualified to chase down .001% of the budget lost to waste. It’s ice 2.0.
