I see where you’re coming from. I personally have always really liked little monsters like these little guys and now I just have adult money to get them (or at least the knock offs lol). I also have always loved blind boxes. I think the real ones are overpriced though and that people are generally going too crazy for them. 1 is all you “need” imo maybe 2 if you want it to have a friend :)

same lol but i think the hate stems from a hate of mass consumerism. we should enjoy the things we buy but dont buy too much bc its trendy and then throw it away for the next new trend u know? if its something trendy and u like it hell yeah buy it but dont go too crazy now

it is partly overconsumption but also i just don’t understand where the hype comes from. it seems like a manufactured popularity, like those airpod looking boots during covid that everyone swore were cool and now that the fad is over everyone admits they didn’t look good and they were only cool because they were popular among influencers
