Any job will require your social security number … they need it to do your taxes and confirm your legal eligibility to work in the US

Ik that they require a SSN for those reasons but I assumed they’d ask after determining I’m fit for the job or smth. But going off what #1 said, ig I’m too used to applications just straight up asking about all that instead of using my SSN to see first 😅

especially with big companies it’s a lot easier for them to just run your number
