i think i get esp disappointed when this happens in fandom communities bc it’s so full of other NDs that i expect us to think the same when we don’t. it’s my own blindspot but yea i just get a bit sad when im trying to earnestly analyze the text and don’t get much acknowledgement compared to jokes and applying tropes (that imo barely fit…). fandom exists for a lot of reasons and my reason is picking it apart first and then being self-indulgent second but many operate the opposite which throws me
