Don’t give too much credit to your mother’s opinion. Everyone I’ve told since getting my diagnosis has basically been like, “yeah, duh”🤣 EXCEPT my father who told me that I should take it with a grain of salt and that I’m “more artistic than autistic”. He’s the most autistic man I’ve ever met in my life… Also, not sure your sex, but if you’re female, autism presents a lot differently and you probably have better social skills than people expect from autists
