girl if medication took away your wall thats awesome but you are the exception not the norm. not to be like "some people have more adhd" bc thats not exactly true but like... some people have much more severe and persistent symptoms that you can't just "discipline" yourself out of. i have severe adhd and medication helps only to a point. my life feels like trying to sort a sand pit by grain size, while inside of the pit, covered in sand. meds dont fix ts
It’s sorta like if you tried to touch a stove with your bare hand but your brain doesn’t let you because obviously you’d hurt yourself, people who experience the invisible wall (such as myself) kinda have that for a lot of stuff, like self care, important tasks, social obligations, etc
maybe this is dumb but have you ever tried like. wait until you have to pee, then when you're washing your hands afterwards, just go up really far on your arms, then turn on the bath faucet but don't switch to shower yet & just let it run till its warm and put your legs and feet in and then keep washing your arms and then start the actual shower and by that point its not such an abrupt shift?
