thinking abt how in high school i got really sick of having a panic attack any time i went somewhere so i just Stopped Being Anxious. literally commanded my body and mind to stop. and it worked? i haven’t felt an emotion in years but shit i can order food

I did this for most of my childhood. Trying to unlearn it now. Its hard, but I’m happy I can feel things again

agree w #1 I didn’t realize I started doing this in my childhood until I realized how numb I was one day in high school. I pried myself open and started to psych myself into thinking these scary things are actually exciting and fun! and it actually worked LOL it’s very easy to trick urself into thinking ur scared nerves are excited nerves because the buzzing and stomach dropping feeling is so similar! give it a shot
