i used to frequent a small diner that was down the street from the garage when my car was having trouble. Most of the people there were older men that were there early in the morning, eating breakfast alone. Some couples used to do it too, but by and large most people go to diners alone in my lived experience your mileage may vary

Yeah; small local diner is the vibe. Especially if they have a bar counter for regulars.

If there’s a counter to sit at that’s a popular choice for ppl there alone but tables and booths are fine too
