u r able to learn better coping mechanisms tho & ways to handle it after the fact so it doesnt take such a big toll on u & u can get back to feeling better quicker!

This is very true. But I think they were more referencing the idea that struggle makes you stronger. But yea in reality it’s the opposite having a period of peace and a good support system is what actually makes you stronger. Along with what 2 said therapy is great and I have loved DBT so far.
