I’m gonna start ADHD meds soon but I’m also trying to recover from an ed. Are there any ADHD meds that don’t suppress appetite? I’m gonna talk to my psychiatrist but I’d like to go into it with some knowledge already

Stimulants typically have this affect so maybe consider non-stimulants like Wellbutrin. As a disclaimer I’ve never tried non-stimulants before though. And ngl my Vyvanse and in the past my Adderall give me the opposite effect and make me ravenously hungry instead, but I don’t think that’s common. And it’s better when I eat first

i’m on Vyvanse right now and it doesn’t necessarily suppress my appetite but it does make me completely forget about food and paying attention to my hunger cues. so i often have to set alarms for eating time or have someone check in on me every few hours

i gave up on adhd meds so long ago so i’m sorry that i don’t remember more but for me, vyvanse suppressed my appetite for a while (a month or two maybe??) but then stopped and my appetite went back to normal. that was the only drug i took that i noticed appetite suppression with, but i also couldn’t tell you what i took before vyvanse other than that ik they weren’t stimulants

Thank you so much for the advice. I’ll definitely look into non-stimulants 😊
