I am opposite end of the spectrum. I need complete silence, otherwise every distraction is a landslide happening inside my head. It’s crazy how music/noise changes how we’re able to process information.

talking with people about head explosion music is so weird bc you ask what songs they like and they say something like boris johnson death incantation or lesbian vampire furries (both real answers i have gotten)

When I can’t sleep on a plane/train/car ride I have a playlist I titled “Noise” and it’s excusively heavy rock/metally music and I’ll listen to it

I’ve come to realize that I dont mind noise when I’m the one in control of it. Neighbor blasting music? Hate it. Blasting the DOOM ost in my headphones on max volume? Love it.

I have noise sensitivity due to ptsd and my cure is blasting melodic heavy metal.

I like to put on like 4-5 sources of media/stimulation at once when I try to study sometimes. 3 playlists, a show, and maybe some gameplay. I always mix it up. And. Somehow it works!

Heavy metal is my go to, no joke, something about SOAD just makes me lock in
