Omg i always rant about how bad a lot of “eco friendly” stuff actually is. Like electric cars and recycling. While the concept spewed by corporations sound good for the environment, the whole processes actually dont benefit

AI--in every capacity. I hate all of it and try to get as far from it as I can. I go on a mini rant everytime a classmate brings it up as a replacement for an assignment. Pretty basic answer, nowadays tho

It’s popular because of a ton of false advertisement. It’s not permanent, it doesn’t work well, it at all, for BIPOC folks, and is a lot more expensive long term.

In AI defense (ew), it’s being used to provide more accurate meteorology forecasts. But like in terms of people using it instead of doing their assignments or just as a shortcut, (especially AI slop), it’s horrible. AI is helpful in research contexts, but unfortunately most people don’t use it for that.

I’ve seen a lot of students using it, especially GPT, in fields like healthcare to answer their assignment questions and think that should be grounds for immediate removal from those programs.
