That makes a ton of sense- but also that’s really scary! Are there any markers of ‘comfortable’ clothes that u can use to buy more? Even if it’s the same thing over and over again in different colors? Also, there are so many fashion subcultures- that whatever you wear, as long as you’re comfortable and confident, it’ll never look dumb!!
not really honestly :/ The few clothes I have right now have just kind of randomly come about and they’re not from specific brands or places. Right now I have about 4 shirts (they’re all either crewneck sweatshirts or long sleeve t shirts) 4 pairs of shorts and 3 pairs of long pants. There’s no real way to explain why I can’t stand to wear other clothes - they’re either just straight up uncomfortable in some way or they just feel “wrong” and it triggers my fight or flight. :/
I don’t really have a life. It’s definitely gotten worse in the past few years, but it also heavily affected my high school years. I couldn’t go to prom because i couldn’t wear a dress, no homecoming dance for the same reason. Vacations are not super fun because I can’t wear swimwear or other cute vacation clothes etc. It really effects my life in every way possible :(
I mean all of those seem pretty fine! I guess what I was asking is if you could maybe make a list of ‘why’ they feel uncomfortable, so you can avoid those moving forwards- I guess as ur doing college and work stuff, getting 2 formal things and a few business casual things could help (stuff that you could wear undershirts or tank tops underneath so that it still feels nice?) but honestly there are ways to still go to places even if you don’t fit the dress code- if you really wanted to go!
