You don’t “have” to do anything. It’s literally all up to you to weigh the pros and cons of your actions

You don’t have to. But rules are generally focused on keeping people safe and at peace. So breaking those rules would likely make you a dickhead, and people will treat you accordingly. You can break rules, but you will face consequences
