My understanding is disability pride month is a combination of raising awareness and claiming space. Like hi, we don’t have marriage equality, there’s a shit ton of eugenics, most spaces are built without us in mind, but guess what? We’re still here and you’re GOING to pay attention. That’s how I see it, at least
