God I wish! If only we'd been able to actually contain it well at the beginning it could've been. As it is people just stopped caring much, we developed vaccines that helped reduce symptoms, and it mutated to generally slightly more contagious and less deadly forms (as viruses tend to do in many cases). I'm vaccinated for it but haven't had the booster for this fall yet. Get your vaccines, people!

Update: I survived the night, though nearly had a panic attack for a bit before I fell asleep. I feel a little better so far this morning. Definitely not recovered yet, but optimistic that I at least may be making progress towards fighting it off :)
