this happened to my bf as well. he attempted and almost succeeded while he was in chemical engineering because he hated it so much and no one gave him a way out or supported him. after he left they still pestered him about it. all he wanted was a degree. and them bothering him about it tells me they literally don’t gaf if he’s happy or if he even wants to be alive. fuck those people. i’m sorry you’re in that situation op. fuck anyone that doesn’t support you living the life you choose for yourse

i never even wanted to do business. i wanted to be a fucking historian. but after being forced to only do stem clubs my whole life business seemed like the compromise cause they mocked the arts & humanities

“if i could do it again id be an engineer” that’s great for you mom. unfortunately since you never “wanted to label me” my brain has been permanently damaged by several neurological disorders since i never had help with them. but im so glad :)
