What they did to rosemary was a travesty but just a heads up this isn’t a totally accurate framing. Rosemary wasn’t autistic, she had a severe intellectual disability, and her lobotomy was opposed by most of the nuclear family. However her father Joe was in many ways abusive and basically the dictator of the family. He essentially went behind his wife’s back to get rosemary lobotomized, and Rose, her mother, never really forgave him. Genuinely evil actions and not talked about enough
