so your insurance may cover getting diagnosed! check with your local testing centers or psychiatrists and see if any of them take your insurance/how much it usually covers also check if your college has psychiatrist on staff, if so then they should be free or at least inexpensive. (assuming they can diagnose what you're looking for)

its worth it to be diagnosed if you require accommodations for work/school, plus you'll be under more legal protection in general... or if you want meds obviously... otherwise there's a ton of free resources on the internet how to cope and adapt, plus there's a lot of support groups out there. there's probably one for people who can't afford diagnostics idk.

all my friends are on some kind of spectrum and that helps a lot too. they know im not "official" but i fuck heavy with the community issues and problems lmao

thankyou!! i see the psychiatrist on campus but unfortunately she doesn’t do psychological testing. i have overlapping symptoms and i don’t like how psychiatrists diagnose without doing any official testing, it’s hard to fully trust it

thankyou!! i know it’d be so worth it. they “diagnosed” me with bipolar and i get meds but nothing has helped. they only wanna focus on bipolar, and i just feel it may not even be accurate since i didnt get a comprehensive test to test across all disorders. i was diagnosed during my most unstable point in life and i feel like i also have so many symptoms that are separate from bipolar

totally fair! I still definitely recommend calling up testing centers to see if they take your insurance. I went to a testing center for my adhd and that got fully covered by insurance!
