I had a teacher criticize me for how my panic attack in class today made HER feel. I don’t think I’ve ever had such a cruel response to my ptsd except for the people who gave me the ptsd in the first place. I’m not sure what to do now

that’s something for your student disability services (SDS) and to see if that should be escalated to the dean or jointly brought to the attention of that professor by your school’s SDS on your behalf.

Thank you 🙏 I went sobbing to the the DRC (disability resource center, it’s my school’s SDS) immediately after where they documented what happened and I’m going to see a DRC counselor on Monday to talk about mediation. I feel anxious because I don’t want to get anyone in trouble and I HAVE to take her classes to get my degree, but I don’t think that was an appropriate response for her to have

She is 100% in the wrong that was so unprofessional and uncalled for, I hope your DRC handles it well and wishing u the best. I have CPTSD as well as depression and some other stuff and medication and therapy really helped me, especially with panic attacks/nightmares
