Just gonna throw this out there in case you aren’t aware… autism doesn’t cause cptsd. We may be more likely to experience it because we are more likely to experience traumatic events than a neurotypical person (like most neurodivergent people), but autism itself does not cause it.

i think maybe they mean the trauma is directly caused by growing up with autism and not any other events? although i feel like there would have to be specific events for it to reach the level of cptsd and by that point it would be something else causing it
