Pittsburgh is so lovely and welcoming and very very whimsical. It can be a bit grungy and some neighborhoods have been neglected, but there hasn’t been a place in that city that doesn’t make me feel like i’m a part of a bigger world with a bigger purpose… like major dreamer type vibe. here’s a pic of my friend overlooking one of the three rivers that cuts through the city. full disclosure tho: it’s a total nightmare for driving at first but they have decent public transit.

Texas gets hot. I’m from Alabama and went to Austin TX for a concert a few years ago and it was so hot I honestly don’t understand how people live there. I went in early/mid September.

I’ve only been to Pittsburgh very briefly, but.. I’d say there. I can’t stand Houston, never been to Chicago so can’t say anything, Denver is okay, nothing special, Philadelphia is neat to visit.

I recommend a city just outside of Denver. I live around that area and it’s so good and people are so nice. It’s also really queer affirming which is awesome

I think I’m deciding between Pittsburgh and Denver tbh. I’m from california but I’m not rich at all and I need somewhere where I can work in Geospatial information sciences (GIS), and these were the best cities that were recommended. I like either bc they have the 4 seasons tbh, which I really like. Also I want somewhere to raise a family perhaps

oh you would ADORE Pittsburgh for settling down with a family tbh, there’s just so much to do in that area for all pocketbooks. i grew up driving out there to visit grandma’s family. lately i’ll go to visit with friends for our own little city tour in honor of Mac Miller. his neighborhood of Squirrel Hill is so quaint and gorgeous, but seemingly pretty expensive now though.

Yeah I’ve been to all of them before actually. I’m not super familiar tho with Pittsburgh Houston and Philly tho. Denver I’ve been to very many times before, I’m super familiar w that city. Chicago I’ve been to a few times but I’m kinda iffy on it

With the nightmare that is Pittsburgh roads, you are very likely to find a job that uses GIS

lmfao pittsburgh has some of the most ABSURD intersections I’ve ever seen. one of these turns might go uphill while another goes *steeply* downhill 😂

The amount of 5-way intersections is also atrocious

The school system is also pretty great around Denver if you’re looking to start a family. Obviously with statewide budget cuts they took a hit, but that’s most places tbh
