ADHD cleaning tip: use your own fears as motivation. Like if you’re scared of cockroaches, think that there’s hundreds of them in your walls and they’re hungry. Your dirty room is a buffet, don’t give them a reason to come out.

Maybe be careful about this if you have serious anxiety though, otherwise that might be too overwhelming and paralyze you

Something that helps me clean is wearing specific cleaning clothes! I have an apron and I wear a bandana to hold back my hair. It’s weird how something so small can shift my mind into a different gear!

The last time I tried this, my stepfather berated me for it not being up to his standard...good thing he kicked me out of the house, so now I can actually clean and feel normal and not feel like he's going to break down my door and beat me after one last infraction pushed him over the edge-
