didn’t get diagnosed with adhd until 17, autism 21. but i can look back on childhood memories and clearly think of moments where i displayed autistic traits, same with adhd. i’d say it should have been obvious to my parents when i refused to talk for a whole year and only meowed up until age 9

ADHD 26 Autism 28, they just assumed it was BPD the whole time because I was traumatized female and sad and refused to believe it was anything else despite me pleading to the contrary

Tbh I knew something else was wrong since I was a kid. The sound of chewing made me want to peel off my skin, constantly getting misunderstood, homework taking 3x as long to keep my good grades, and a host of other issues. But no one would listen.
