I am sick of people excusing bigotry from neurodivergent people. Saying we are somehow less responsible for their actions than a neurotypical person is dehumanizing and not helping anyone.

Even if the person doesn’t realize they are doing anything wrong that’s all the more reason to not ignore it so they can stop. I’ve done things that hurt others because of missed body language and stuff and I’m so glad I was called out because if I wasn’t I would STILL be doing it.

my work is like that towards this one guy. he harasses women all the time, interrupts my workouts while he’s working and i’m there for recreation, and follows me around the building when i’m working or not. he grabbed my arm and pulled me back to him one time and i’ve also written him up for inappropriate conversation with minor girls and they are just ignoring stacks or reports again him 🙄

this may be random but one thing that pisses me off is when someone who is nd uses the R slur and someone rightfully calls them out for it and they reply with like "well im nd i can reclaim it" IN NO WAY SHAPE OR FORM CAN YOU 'RECLAIM' THAT WORD LMFAO

to me that seems to be more of a sexism thing. like “boys will be boys” but “autistic boys will be autistic boys”. people do not allow autistic girls to act that way. we are generally higher masking bc we’re held to much higher standards and are shamed out of any “undesirable” behavior
