Does anyone else struggle to do upkeep down there during your period? Like I bleed enough that I should be changing my pad every four hours or so but I’m lucky if I change it more than twice a day, and I know that’s bad but I can’t seem to do it more

Yes I’d like, wear the same pair of underwear even if I changed the rest of my clothes and had a hard time showering every day because of the inconvenience of making sure I didn’t bleed on anything between times. It did get better once I started using tampons as well as pads bc I had less of that gushing/constant drip. And I don’t have a period anymore so it’s chill now

If your health permits, the hormonal birth control can be taken in such a way that, by skipping the placebo days and only taking active pills, you can suppress your periods in their entirety. I do it for health reasons, but I would probably do it anyways because I hate bleeding down there and having one more piece of hygiene to deal with

One time (probably more than one time really) I wore one pad for two days, it was at the end of my period and it didn’t bleed through and every time I just ignored it until I managed to make myself take it off. I have the same problem with changing my underwear, I’ll just keep rewearing it until it basically a biohazard and I can’t make myself fix it

thank jeebus i don’t get a period anymore, but when i did i was the LEAST hygienic person ever. oml i would like, change my pad 1-2 times a day, same underwear the entire week, and either not shower or speed run a shower (cause i hated bleeding in the shower)

I know is disgusting and probably bad for my health and all that but I don’t know how to fix it and do better

I’m scared of tampons because i know that I’ll leave it wayyyy past changing time and I’m terrified of getting TSS. I’m hoping one day I’ll be able to get a hysterectomy, it’ll be easier I think once I’m out of college and my husband finishes transitioning so doctors aren’t able to do the sexist “are you sure” thing
