I genuinely hate dealing with pharmacies. I put in a refill request for medication that I have been on for months now at like 8am yesterday, and my psychiatrist was finally able to get through to them today to get my lorasidone prescription sent in. They

the fact that i can't have auto refills turned on for my meds (that i'm on because of a condition that is literally diagnosed by being bad at remembering things and managing tasks) and i have to REMEMBER TO MANUALLY REFILL IT EVERY SINGLE MONTH, and i can't do it too early bc its illegal, AND THEN EVERY FUCKING TIME IT'S "out of stock" SO I NEED TO WAIT LIKE 5 DAYS BEFORE I CAN ACTUALLY GET IT? MEANING I AM ALWAYS BEHIND ON MY MEDS??

Finally messaged me at like 3:30 today saying that my prescriptions were ready, so I get up and drive across the street to pick them up and guess what? My prescription that I put in for a refill yesterday morning still wasn’t ready so I had to wait another 15 minutes so they could get it ready. Mind you I work nights and I usually try to start laying down and taking my sleep meds around 11amish. And it’s like this every single time.

and then on top of that, the 28 day limit for how long you have to wait to refill it again is measured by when you actually PICKED UP the medication, so every month i get it 5 days late and then at the end of the month i can't refill until 28 days after the date that is already 5 days late. and then i only have 2 pills left and i have to wait for them to fucking get the medication back in stock so i'm fucking LATE AGAIN like are you actually kidding me

the worst part is knowing that the US government is literally causing this by presetting limits for how much meds can be made per year and it sets them to be lower than how much is needed for everyone on those meds. and they don't change it if more people get prescribed them. genuinely the stupidest fucking system??

It’s such bullshit cause I know I’m gonna have issues in the future getting my new meds refilled too which is gonna be an issue cause I’m literally on them to prevent manic and depressive episodes, like why are we playing games with peoples lives???

Idk either cause it’s true, this is a very common experience for people who are on medications like that
