I am freaking out was hired for a job yesterday and just got sent the introduction/all the rules and it starts on Monday and I don't feel prepared it's a lot more high maintenance then I'm used to and I need to figure out a whole new wardrobe for it too

I'm also so confused bc I'd prefer to just get a bunch of dresses for this and in the dress code section it doesn't say anything about dresses so I sent a quick text to the guy who hired me and asked if dresses were okay and got a thumbs up so like okay I guess

a greeter for a high end store, it's a pop up shop though and they're having a third party do all the hiring

Interesting! I imagine they’re picky about wardrobe because you’re the face of the brand there. But your best guess from your current closet might do fine. Unless the product/company is a totally different aesthetic

I don’t have experience in that area exactly, but my impression of that kind of job is that they expect it to be learnable really quickly, even if it sounds like a lot. As a ND person, your mileage may vary. But you might also find that it is the kind of job where it’s totally normal and possible to succeed without just a brief orientation.

yeah I'm used to customer facing jobs so like the actual job part is what I'm least worried about lol I went thrifting and found some neutral black dresses so I hope those work and I guess once we start working I can just compare to other people and see if I need to tweak it at all but yeah hopefully their expectations are low lol
